Lanzones Festival – Camiguin's Pride



Lanzones, the pearl of Camiguin – a sweet round yellowish grape-like fruit dominant all over the island. Craved by visitors, wanted by tourists, and fancied by international tourists, cultivated and nourished by the very own hardworking and compassionate Camiguingnons.                 Then, places start getting crowded… Crowds getting wild… Drums sounding “Trak… Tak… Tak… Boom… Boom!, Dancers dancing meritoriously amidst undeniable pain, Festival Queens and Diwatas waving gracefully with shimmering, elegant dresses beaming with confidence, poise and beauty.
                Contingents dances merrily along the street under the scourging heat of the sun, unflaggingly trying to stand out amongst other competitors wanting to leave a mark, making its Alma matter proud and leaving the viewers stunned by their mesmerizing performances.
                 Tension rises as the dancers unleashed their incomparable and strenuous drama making the crowd thunderous and noisy. Its astonishing view but from afar solaces one who is succumbed with great burden and brings smile to an innocent child.
