Communication
Foundation for Asia (CFA), designed a comic book featuring the life and
ministry of Pope Francis. Entitled “A Pope Named Francis: A Pope for the Poor…
A man of Mercy and Compassion,” serves as a tribute and homage to the Pope on
his visit to the Philippines.
“The
comic book focuses on the preferential option for the poor, with the Holy
Father as model of this doctrine in action,” according to a CFA editor. This will
be written into English and Filipino versions.
It
will have commemorate edition according to CFA that would inspire the youth to
emulate the Life and Ministry of the Holy Father and will present Pope Francis
as a model on how to transform Catholic social teachings into action.
In addition,
this comic book includes different stories in the Philippine setting: Quotes
from Pope Francis on Call for the Youth; Life and Dignity; Call to Family,
Community and Participation, Solidarity, Dignity of Work; Rights and
Responsibilities; Option for the Poor and Vulnerable and Care for God’s
Creation.
Furthermore,
this 36-paged, 7 x 10 inch comic book, colorfully illustrated will be
distributed mainly in Manila area, generally people resides.
